![]() Hi Guys:
Like I said, I've been busy at the zoo - but this should be it for a while. Took some new photos of the recently completed elephant exhibit (worked on over the holidays) and have included them here. The front yard is considerably smaller than originally intended but don't worry - there's plenty of space out back for them to roam. We repurposed a lot of items to build the elephants' home... match boxes, plastic bottles, a plastic bowl, saw dust, newspaper, a cardboard box, a wooden tea box, fax paper spools, acorns, and a brass goblet minus its base. The large elephant is made of wood, the next largest is a hollow cast lead Britains, and the juvenile's plastic and "Made in China." All of the zoo visitors are lead - except for the plastic Britains zookeeper near the bottom right. John |

Thanks! We found our wooden Indian elephant, Akbar, at an antiques shop in West Virginia. He was made in India and finished in natural wood. We painted him gray and added some details. I really like how he looks. John |
