I promissed Gordon so here we go.....

We visited Costco yesterday and to my delight I saw that they have rec'd their 2010 sets. This one got my all excited because it has the second version of the seaplane not available in Canada. This set ends up being an awesome deal. In addition to the seaplane you get the new boat in its third color and the whale. All that at $49.99 is a good deal.

So let me start the review, fiers 2 pictures are the front and the back of the box. The box is big, way to big. You think it full but once you open it you notice all the empty space in it, sorry no pictures of the empty box but there is one of all the set on the box.

Next 2 pictures are of the seaplane and its crew. The seaplane is the exact same one as the police one but in a new colors. I think it looks a lot better than the police one.

Next we have the boat, it was first released as the harbor police boat. I never got interested in it but once you see it (for real) it looks a lot better, it has 2 storage compartments, and a dedicated place for the life saver. The next pictures are different views of the boat.

We continue with more pictures of the boat.

Next we have the marine animals. The daulpin, the killer whale and the new whale.

This set has lots of play value if you are buying it for your children. It may even bring out the child in you. As proof the next few pictures...I couldn't resist.

To finish the review I surprised an old friends of ours who showed up for a picture.

To finish the review.....get the set if you see it. It is worth it.

Thank you for an excellent review, Nick, with great photos (and good to see piglet about!)

I think I'll have to see about getting the boat in bits via UK DS in the near future if I can.

That's a great looking set. I like that boat, and the plane is one of my favorites.

Thank-you for the review Nick. I am not even more glad that I bought this set when I had the opportunity.
Cheers

What a great set and a very thorough review, Nick, I can't understand how I missed this thread and set back then.

The private livery waterplane, the colour scheme of the boat, the amount and looks of the Klickies: I all like them very much. But the nicest thing to my surprise are the animals; the looks of both mammals, the size of the whale, the shape and balance of the Orca, simply awesome!

Thanks for the review. Now I want this set too (and it doesn't fit my current scope of themes... ) It would do great in combination with set # 5898 (pic attached), also still on my wish list, but that has to do with the 4x4...
