Default Mammoths

It seems to me,that the manufacturers don't really have a clue about the different types of mammoths.
The modelling of some of them is really not good sometimes.
The northern wooly mammoth from the northern parts of Europe and America was a stockier type,in which you couldn't see the neck very good, because of the thick fur.
Maybe only when it was moving heavily when it was fighting for the females or so.
Some of the models look more like the pre-ancestors of the mammoth types, like the one from the americas without that thick fur.

My favorite Mammoth is the Safari Ltd. Missing Links Mammoth which I was lucky to obtain a couple months back. Although extremely hard to find and expensive, this is THE mammoth to have in my opinion.

I've already seen it in true life and I think it is better than the pic and even better than Schleich. I think they don't want to pay a good photograph who can give justice to their products.

For me the best is the Schleich Mammoth (and I have that together with the calf). I will post it by next month.
