There are 2 Papo ones--the now-retired running one, which is excellent; and their idiotic new one for this year, which is just derivative of the Schleich one anyway.

After the running Papo one, I find the original Bully one to be the most interesting one (it has been resculpted, or repainted, or something, and doesn't look as good now), followed by the Carnegie.

The Schleich (and its derivative Papo one) are just too old-fashioned and bulky-looking.

The Wild Safari one is a good figure, if a bit cartoonish.

In terms of sculpting quality (which many people here seem to consider a higher priority) the Schleich or Papo ones will of course be better.

The Papo Mammoth looks very good in the picture, I haven't seen one in person to make a true opinion. I do have the Schleich one and it is pretty good, maybe a little better than this photo makes it look.

I did say the original Bully mammoth:

And I do believe the best is truly the original Papo one:

It is discontinued, but is still pretty widely available.

And for those who are interested--they are all called woolly mammoths, but based on the heads and proportions, there is no way. The Carnegie looks more like an Imperial, and I understand that the tusks of the new Papo look the tusks of a Columbian mammoth.
