![]() There are very many brands of Okapi out or coming out this year...I have the Schleich, Papo and Safari (blah--too shiny and plastic looking) ones. The Schleich is too big to scale. I like the Papo one. However, what do people think of other brands' okapi--inlcuding those with calves?

![]() Bullyland is the best: there is a calf that goes with it!

![]() The CollectA one is supposed to be very good as well (I should have it this week to see for myself). And there is a calf for it as well.

![]() Yet we do not have that many choices for okapis. It's not a species we see that often in toys.

![]() So I've now received the CollectA Okapi pair (plus the sables, waterbuck, wildebeest and eland) and they are amazing. They are pretty much right on par with the Papo one in terms of quality and texture.
So at this point we have (or had) toy figure okapis from Safari (mini, regular, XL), Schleich, Papo, Bullyland and CollectA (not counting small figures, toobs, Japanese ones, hollow-cheap store ones, etc). When Mojo gets around to doing one that pretty much runs the gamut of all of the major companies. So while it feels like an obscure figure, it's actually a pretty popular one. |
