Default First Animal Sculpt - Babirusa

This is my first modern animal sculpt (I have done a few dinosaurs) and I decided to do one I haven't seen much, a Babirusa, an unusual wild pig native to Indonesia; in fact I think Starlux was the only one. It is ugly, but interesting :)

Anyway, I have been greatly inspired by Ana's work, and hope I can eventually work up to that level.

I am trying to stay in the 1:24 range - which is good for large to medium size animals, but harder for smaller ones. I only got one picture before my batteries died, I will try to add more later.

Here it is:

Hope you enjoy!

A great start, Jack!!
Your work looks promising, and you've chosen the right species to sculpt - babirussas are interesting animals worth becoming figurines.

Great work, and such a neat animal, when I was on the island of Sulawesi I went out to find them and was successful, I saw 3 on the trip, I was there to collect tropical fish which I brought back, but saw many other animals and birds, overall it was a great trip.

Nice work! I like the pose which You chosen for this model, one leg touch the ground only by the top of hoof.

Good work there Jack!
Specially for a first attempt, and a rare species indeed.

Nice and unusual specie, a great choice.

Congratulation Jhudstone.

One day, we will build a company and we produce our own animals. We should call it the Laughing giraffe ltd & Co
