Default Wild animals in action

With all the brands creating horses in various action positions (ie running, walking, feeding, galloping), why don't they make the various wild animals in more action poses??? After looking at a lot of my grazers, i see they are all standing and looking to the right OR looking to the left. A lot of these animals are in constant flight as there action pieces should be. I like that Safari LTD did a running cheetah as well as a warthog walking very quickly, but very few others are running or even walking for that matter.

Any comments?

Could it be related to "playability" of the animal. I imagine that by giving it a particular action pose you might limit how you can play with it. I mean we have to remeber that these toys are for kids and how they play with the animals. Or maybe ots just a question of habbit, I mean by that that the manifacturers have been doing it a certain way for a while and nobody wants to be the inovator.

Nick, I did think of that but as kids, and as I was kid, I always made them run unless I was just setting them up. But playing you want them to run. Or at least move. As an adult, I have other intentions with the replicas as just setting them up vs. playing with them (my son does that with me) so want them in action mode for my diorama.

For the same reason why they always make the same animals year after year. Just because.
